Who we are:
Expertise grounded in real school experience.
Founded by an experienced SENCO and pastoral leader alongside a university senior lecturer specialising in UK teacher education, RISE brings together more than 35 years of combined experience across UK and international schools, school leadership, SEND, pastoral practice and teacher development.
Our approach sits at the intersection of research, professional expertise and real school experience. We understand the pressures schools are navigating, from increasing SEND need and staff workload to student wellbeing, inclusion, accountability and the practical challenge of turning policy into meaningful practice.
We also recognise that AI is rapidly changing what education looks like. Schools need to navigate its opportunities and risks thoughtfully, using AI ethically and responsibly, while ensuring it supports rather than widens existing inclusion gaps. We help schools consider where AI can improve efficiency and practice, alongside the safeguards, professional judgement and equity considerations needed to use it well.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We work alongside schools to understand what is happening on the ground, identify what will make the greatest difference, and build practical, sustainable approaches that staff can genuinely implement.
“RISE Inclusion & Wellbeing was founded from a shared belief that schools need more than advice. They need expertise that works in practice.”
Laura-Jane Devanny, RISE Educators
Our work combines academic rigour with hands-on leadership expertise to strengthen inclusive practice, develop staff capability, support student wellbeing and improve the systems that sit behind successful schools.
